The history of television is an interesting one. It all started with standard connection, which evolved into satellite dish, followed by DTH. Today we’ve got Smart TVs using Internet connection. And it doesn’t stop there—getting TV from Internet allows us to watch from various platforms using various apps. Channel streaming lets you watch practically everything on practically anything, bringing TV outside of the TV room and into college dorms, outside jogs, and most other places imaginable. Showbox and Chromebox are very popular viewing and streaming apps. Separately, they’re pretty good. Together, they’re a powerhouse. Why? Because each has a few individual features that make them unique—and by combining them you’re getting double the supply of such unique gems, making for a viewing experience that’s out of this world. Read more to find out how to watch Showbox content through Chromecast’s streaming app.

No pop-up appears when I start my Showbox movie on my android phone. I followed all steps above to prepare, but no display options are presented to me: movie just starts playing on my phone.

Do you know what I should check from here to make this work, please?

      Hi Lisa,

When your showbox app is opened does it prompt you to download the latest version?

Make sure you have the latest version

Also make sure you untick the box that says USE INTERNAL PLAYER

In order to get by the flim parts while casting to your TV, you need to mirror your display screen to the TV. You can do this in 2 ways: 1. Get a hdmi to micro USB cable or 2. Use just the chromcast. Using the chromcast with other casting apps like All cast, does not get around the movies that are broken up into parts because there is no way to get to the next part while it is being casted to the TV (well at least when I use All cast app). But as you guys know there is no problem while watching the movie directly on your phone or tablet because you can press the part 2 to get to the next part. So in order to mirror the display image using your chromcast you need to:
      1. Open chromcast app on your Android device

      2. Open the menu and select the “Cast screen / audio” option and follow the instructions to connect to your Chromecast (it might read cannot connect your device or something like that but just click on the “cast screen/audio” icon)

So now your TV screen is your phone/tablet screen. When you watch a movie in the Showbox app, just make sure you select “Android Player” under the “PLAYER” section.
(So now when part 1 is almost done you can click on part 2, just note that while you are mirroring what on your phone/tablet, you cannot turn your device off.

I haven’t had any problems playing movies, until the movie Inside Out. It plays about 25 minutes and then stops. I then downloaded it to my library and downloaded parts 1 through 4. I still can only play the 1st part. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks

When I cast a multiple parted film only the first part plays then it stops, this is usually about 20 to 25 minutes in. This I’d either when streaming it if I’ve downloaded the film. If I play it on my mobile I get the option of selecting part 2, 3. Etc so the whole film is there. How can I get round this please. Thanks, Paul

      Hi Paul,

Unfortunately there wouldn’t be a way to get around this issue as its the uploaders at showbox that made uploaded the film and parts instead of the whole film, which i am not sure why they would do that. So for now you would just have to keep selecting the next part of the film once the part your watching ends.

Hi I’ve just installed chromecast for show box but when I go to watch a movie when they speak it’s slower than what it should and it stops playing the movie and starts.

    • Reply surf February 22, 2016 at 1:24 am

      Hi Keira,

Have you tried watching other movies does this problem still persist? if so it may have something to do with your internet connection try connecting your phone or tablet to wifi and see if that helps.

    Hi Paul,

Sorry to jump in on your post but I had exactly the same problem last night. I download Room to watch with the family and all 5 parts downloaded on to my phone. We watched part one but then it stopped, the problem is I can’t find a way of individually selecting parts 2,3,4 or 5 to cast. On the phone it just automatically goes to the next section. Do you know how to individually select the next part whilst casting?

    Many thanks

I have never had a problem streaming movies with Showbox until Batman vs. Superman now every movie on the whole app is in parts even movies that I have watched before in full version is that something wrong with the app or is that the way it is going to be for now on. is there something I can do

    • Reply surf May 7, 2016 at 1:53 pm

      Hi Will,

I have noticed the same thing i think its just the way the app works now. maybe it helps them having it in parts as one movie can be streamed from multiple servers.

  • Reply Joie May 8, 2016 at 2:54 am

I am having the same problem as watching a movie in parts. When casting the movie, it doesn’t give you the option to go on next parts, why is showbox doing this? It wasn’t like this before.

once you cast a movie from showbox it only plays the first part no way to move onto the next part once you cast? anyway to fix this

    • Reply surf May 9, 2016 at 4:05 pm

      Hi John,

Have you got the latest version of the app? this is the usual cause for this problem.

  • Reply Ryan May 11, 2016 at 8:49 am

Yes showbox has been ruined, every movie i try to ‘watch now’ either to phone or casting, it only plays one 13 minute part. I cannot locate the other parts either, how do I get these? I tried two older versions and they have the same problem. This was not a issue 2 weeks ago. What have they changed and will it be resolved?

    • Reply surf May 11, 2016 at 8:24 pm

      Hi Ryan,

yes its next to impossible to locate different parts of the films, you may have to wait for another update for this issue to be fixed. as currently i don’t see a solution.

      • Reply Ryan May 11, 2016 at 8:32 pm

Thanks for reply. Since my post I have noticed that the other parts can be viewed when streaming to my android phone but not when casting via allcast to TV. Really hope this gets sorted.

Download megabox HD apk same thing but shows full movie

  • Reply Matthew May 14, 2016 at 6:51 pm

All of the different parts of a showbox downloaded movie are storedoing in a show_box folder in “my files” on androids. If you download the Androvid app from playstore you can merge all parts of the movie into one and then stream through allcast. I just tried it there with the new Captain America. It works fine and there are no stoppages

This is the solution to play all showbox movie parts When sreaming on allcast

I figured it out . On all cast if you press the top left while the first part of the movie plays , scroll down to files , find showbox , select the movie and all parts of movie should be there .

    • Reply Michael Baker June 1, 2016 at 5:20 pm

For movies or shows in multiple parts use local cast app. Sometimes moves on in the wrong order but it works.

    • Reply Quan June 4, 2016 at 8:43 pm

When I go there it still doesn’t show the movie parts

  • Reply Junaid June 12, 2016 at 9:40 am
